Venice

Venice always feels different from the moment you arrive. Flying in and stepping straight onto a water taxi changes your sense of direction immediately. There are no roads leading into the city. Just water.

The first time I came in by boat, I remember realizing how quiet everything felt without traffic. The waterways do more than move people around. They define the pace of the city. Every turn opens into another canal, another bridge, another narrow passage that looks like it hasn’t changed in centuries.

Venice isn’t subtle about what makes it unique. It’s right there in front of you.
