When we moved to West Bridgewater, our home overlooked the Cochesett Preserve. On summer nights, the field beyond our backyard would come alive with thousands of fireflies, blinking on and off like a living constellation. Each one moved independently. Together, they changed how the entire landscape felt. That image stayed with us.
It found its purpose when we began volunteering at the West Bridgewater Food Pantry. We were struck by the care, coordination, and leadership behind the work — and by how much of it went unseen. We offered what we knew: creative direction, photography, and film. That first “yes” reshaped how we understood our role.
What started as volunteering became a philosophy. The Firefly Project grew from that moment — not as a separate initiative, but as part of how we define meaningful work. Over time, that original field came to represent something larger: impact built through many points of light, connected by trust, intention, and shared purpose.
That belief still guides everything we do.
